Irishtown October 20, 2010
This was the last time I was able to film my brother Mike on the drums, Pete singing and playing guitar, and Eddie singing and playing the harmonica at Irishtown pub in Vancouver WA before I moved back to California in 2011. I have a lot of good memories there of the family getting together and just having fun. Love the good Irish ale and food too!

This is a clip from one of my favorite movies "Banjo On My Knee" from 1936. Yes the storyline is weak and some of the acting is horrible, but I love the story anyway and I love all of the great music! It is set in New Orleans. This clip features Tony Martin (Chick Bean) in a beautiful rendition of "There's Something In The Air" with music provided by "The River Troubadours.

Man, imagine being the officer who had to write that report to Berlin. "Attempt to establish beachhead at Pepperinge Eye failed. Chased off by a witch, her army of animated armor, and a regiment of the British Home Guard."

One of the most epic scenes in movie history, spirits of centuries old soldiers from opposing sides return to battle and unite against a greater threat any of them faced in their past lives, the way some of the suits were looking at each other, I imagine them being like "Let's put aside our differences, this conflict is bigger than any of us..."

Stout-Hearted Men (From "The New Moon") Lyrics Writer(s): Sigmund Romberg, Oscar Hammerstein Give me some men who are stout-hearted men, Who will fight, for the right they adore, Start me with ten who are stout-hearted men, And I'll soon give you ten thousand more. Shoulder to shoulder and bolder and bolder, They grow as they go to the fore. Then there's nothing in the world can halt or mar a plan, When stout-hearted men can stick together man to man. You who have dreams, if you act they will come true. To turn your dreams to a fact, it's up to you. If you have the soul and the spirit, Never fear it, you'll see it thru, Hearts can inspire, other hearts with their fire, let the flame burn high for tonight we do or we die. () Give me some men who are stout-hearted men, Who will fight, for the right they adore, Start me with ten who are stout-hearted men, And I'll soon give you ten thousand more. Shoulder to shoulder and bolder and bolder, They grow as they go to the fore.
